Cornmeal - Fried Cornmeal Cakes 

Just hot water so naturally GF DF

~Double Recipe
Boil:
2 cups water
3/4 teaspoon salt

Remove from heat stir in to make a stiff dough:
1 1/2 cups coarsely ground cornmeal
4 teaspoons bacon fat drippings, or butter or vegetable oil
1 teaspoon sugar or maple syrup

Let sit covered 15-20 minutes. Form into little cakes. Fry in good fat
