Cookies - Oatmeal Chocolate Chip 

This is an old recipe but still worth keeping around. Blending the oats gives you another texture option from the standard cookie recipe.

Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder.  In mixer with cookie paddles, cream the butter and both sugars.  Beat in eggs and vanilla.  Mix in flour, oats, salt, baking powder and soda.  Mix in chocolate chips and nuts.  Scoop with small scoop onto lightly oiled cookie sheets.  Bake   10-11 minutes at 375*.
4 c blended oats
1 lb butter
1 c brown sugar
1 c sugar
4 eggs
1 T vanilla

4 c whole wheat pastry flour
1 t salt
2 t baking powder
2 t soda
4 c chocolate chips
2 c to 6 c chopped nuts
