Rice Pilaf 

Notes because it is very difficult to get brown rice to cook evenly with flavorings in it.

~Precook the rice
Preferably in multi-pot use half the moisture as water and precook the rice.
Then add the flavor things to finish cooking the rice.

~4-6 servings
2 c brown rice
1 c water
1/2 t salt
pressure 8 minutes, let cool 5 minutes

1 c broth or drippings
pressure 5 minutes, let cool 5 minutes

~For sweet rice add:
currants
chopped figs
chopped plums
stir to fluff rice and mix in. Put lid on and let rest several minutes.

Lastly stir in:
already chopped dates
toasted nuts
